I went with BlackVue which isn't remotely value-oriented but IMO dash cams aren't the place to sacrifice having seen how shitty people can be.
Quadratec sells a cool little harness tap that I have to draw power from the dash 12v outlet. Added a 12v outlet under the steering wheel and ran the cables up the a-pillar and over the top to the camera to keep it all hidden.
Blackvue 750X with IR rear facing camera. Added a second battery that it runs on when the car is off. Battery recharges when the car is driven. Syncs with my home Wi-Fi when I’m home, tethers to my hotspot when I’m parked elsewhere and gives me notifications
I just installed a Viofo A129 Duo Plus, the other day. I haven't had a chance to review the recordings, but from all the reviews I've read and seen on YouTube, I think I am going to be satisfied with it.
