I bought the TS1108 weathertech shade for my 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave.

When it is installed, my infotainment system and digital dash cycles on and off. Like I opened the door. I noticed it happening when I walked by the window. I got inside the vehicle and locked the doors. It did it a couple more times, then I took the shade down and it stopped.

What is the issue? Just received the shade today.

Just a thought. Turn up the brightness control on your dash lights. You are covering the sensor that dims the dash lights at night. I bet you have them turned low and when you cover the sensor It dims them to almost nothing. Just a thought. I could be wrong.

Came here to suggest this very same thing. I bet that shade is playing tricks on the sensor on your dash. As soft as this may sound - I had a tortoise beanie baby on the dash of my 6-speed JL. Sometimes if I would shift a little aggressively ol’ Speedster would play kissy-face with the windshield and my radio screen would go dark.

You might be able to change that in your infotainment settings as well.

The shade is the problem. It must defective. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄. Destroy it immediately! That’s what Jeep would tell you.
With the technology they put into these cars they can’t test for everything or every situation and it sounds like this might be one of them. Now …I’m with you saying this isn’t the first windshield shade ever installed in one but you either could be one of the few to ever notice the cluster(infotainment ) illuminating or you may have purchased a higher quality shade that a few others haven’t purchased. Either way as much as I’d hate to say try a different one or you can claim the idea these ( weathertech)shades don’t work in a Gladiator and ask for a refund…this is all assuming that the issue doesn’t exist without the shade. 🤔

I tried the dash light control and so far, it seems to have done the trick. I don't understand though what that has to do with anything when the jeep is off. Weird.

My luck it will catch on fire now from whatever the recall is for, and they will say it is because of the windshield shade. :CWL:

But it did stop doing it when I took the shade down last night.

Jeep also turns on if you open the center console.
