Well, it is 121 days since I started this trip. My Gladiator had 51 miles on it when I started on June 18th, and as of today, October 16th, I’ve clocked 20,355 miles, and it’s my birthday. 63 years old today.

When last I posted I was about to leave Helena, Montana, to head over to Yellowstone National Park again as I start to ease back toward a Texas. I headed out and got to Gardiner, Montana, st the north entrance to Yellowstone, and set up camp in the Yellowstone RV Park & Campground, using my new tent, for about 8 days. I explored the area some more as well as hanging out with some old friends in the area. Stayed in a motel room one additional night and then headed south through the park to Jackson, Wyoming, for a night, then headed to Moab, Utah! What a great place to drive a Jeep! I did a lot, and explored a lot, including the Schaefer Trail, and Mineral Bottom Road, Gemini Bridges Road, and as many other features as I could in another 8 days of camping. There is so much there that I’m already planning in my head for another trip. Went back up and over so I could drive through Capital Reef, Glenn Canyon, Grand Staircase Escalonte, and finally through Zion National Park before staying the night in St. George, Utah, rolling back into Las Vegas the next day. Currently camped at the Nellis Air Force Base Family Campground & RV Park till this coming Monday, when I will hit the road again.

Got my 4th oil change & tire rotation today in Henderson, they did a great job. Went ahead and changed the engine air filter as well, after being in Moab for so long. They also snapped my passenger side front fender back into place, after I backed around off of Castle Valley Road and hit a little tree with it that was low and out of my sight line, lol. So far she’s chugging away, no problems to report, and she’s taken everything I’ve thrown at her. I’m loving my Gladiator! I know I posted a lot of pics with this one, but trust me, these are a small fraction of the pics I’ve actually taken! Please don’t quote the post if you want to reply, it will be a mess!

What an amazing journey! Thanks for the photos. Spent some time in Yellowstone and Jackson several years ago and looking forward to going back some day.

What, you don't recognize all of those places? You need to get out more. Sorry, I'm just kidding. Well, sort of: I do recognize most, but also appreciate labels on the images.

However, I find this forum's editor very kludgey when adding images to posts, making layout difficult short of editing the post at the code level. And then you don't know which image you're editing beneath or above. It's probably just me: I can't believe any forum would make it so difficult to control post layout. But, that difficulty is why I don't caption images.

This is an awesome trip. Love to see retired military getting out and enjoying the freedom they helped defend. Thanks for sharing the images.

Yeah, I’ll try, but I’m posting all this straight from my iPhone and that alone is a handful, I’ll see if I can go back and add some more info.

I was wondering . . . does your model of Mr. Buddy Heater (I see the box in a photo) get the job done in that (not made for winter) tent ? I have the bigger model I've used sparingly in my 9x8x6 Kodiak Canvas tent - works great .
