I know this is probably a dumb question so please go easy on me.... I have never had a vehicle that I changed the tire size on. Recently I put 33’s on my Sport S and completely forgot about buying a 5th tire for the spare. Fast forward to 2 months later and I’m taking a 300 mile road trip and am now panicking over the fact that I still have the stock spare. How much of an issue is this?

It’s not a stupid question, but it has been asked before. If needed, put it on the front and disable traction control.

Yup - temporary solution should be fine. I have the Overland, which has 18" wheels. I upgraded the tires (but kept the OEM wheel) to 35" - but then, of course, the OEM spare is a 17" wheel. I worked with the gang at Discount Tire and put on the closest thing in a 17" tire. All is well (although I haven't had to use my spare - yet).

it depends how you use your vehicle, If you built a mall crawler and rarely hit the dirt then any thing that fits and rolls will be fine as a temporary solution for you. But if you're an overlander or rock crawler you are usually many many miles away from a tire shop so carry a spare that will keep you out doing what you love to do. I'll also add that most off roaders carry a puncture kit, onboard air, and spare valve stems while on the trail to give you other options in addition to your spare. Good luck!
