Diode Dynamic Pods

I got the SS3 diode dynamic LED pods for Fathers Day. I want to install them where the cowl is. Do I have to have to cowl mount brackets to install them or can I use the brackets that come with it? Thanks.

You will need a set of cowl mount brackets to install them. The included brackets will be used to attach the lights to the cowl mount brackets. Be careful when ordering the brackets. If you have a model with the taller cowl, like the Mojave, you need a bracket set designed for that.

There are a lot of options available. The Mopar mount is always a safe bet. Nilight also has several. I like the looks of the Seven Sparta mount.

FWiW, I tried mounting some SS3 pods on the cowl but ended up relocating them because of the wind noise at highway speeds (as little as 55 mph). Mounted them to my bumper instead. I’ve found that anything mounted externally near the windshield is asking for a louder in-cab experience.

Just get a small aluminum spacer for under $2 and longer bolt. Works perfectly. Super cheap and way cleaner look IMO. Been running this setup for over 2 years.
