Similar to others, never an issue at the Clermont location when I make an appointment. Everyone is courteous and they do a quality job. One of the few auto service places I trust these days!!

Yes they were charging an additional 15 or 20 bucks, but not only that when I had free oil changes and rotations I had them do it once and they used the wrong size wrench for the bolts and scratched the black off of them on the edges. After the free oil changes ended, the upsells at the dealership are annoying af from oil treatments to tire rotation which he still had on and I had to remind him twice to remove.
I would have tipped the guy at Discount a 10 anyway so it really wasn't the extra cash, it was more avoiding the damage.
I got an oil change at the dealer and refused the tire rotation
I've had no troubles with the free Wave tire rotation.

Like so many have already said, making an appointment at Discount Tire is the better way to do it. I’ve had no issues with excessive wait times since I started making appointments. I’ll agree that passing on having the dealer do the rotations is reasonable - the one time I let them do a free rotation, it turned into a nightmare as the tech couldn’t figure out how to balance one of the tires. Put something close to two pounds(!) of balance weights on the rim. I just prefer to take it to a business that does balancing much more often, and seems more competent at it.

It was because I have Fuel wheels with the skinnier black lugs. They used the larger socket and stripped and scratched the crap out of them.
I hope they compensated you for that.

I didn't see it till I washed the car around a week later. In this case probably better off not complaining as I already have to drive an hour to avoid 4 other dealers close by. Would hate to lose this place that has been at least bearable. Another instance that I haven't mentioned and probably should is they never called me to change my digital dash that has a line through it. Not sure if I even want to bring it up. lol More problems than what its worth.

Think about it - others are there FIRST, some had appointments. Can't expect any business to drop everything and get you right in and make the others who were already there wait for you - or those who took the time to make an appointment wait for you.
I'd be pissed if someone popped in and expected a free rotation while they waited if I'd been there waiting already to get in - with an appointment or if I'd been there an hour waiting to get in.
I'd probably speak up and say "get to the back of the line".

Understand all that, but to quote 4 hours is a copout. First of all it wasn't that packed, I was able to park and there were many parking places available. Why not say it will probably be 1.5 hours. The guy that says 4 hours is the lazy guy that wants you out of there. Must be a commission job. And also not a free rotation, it was paid in advance with a $3,200.00 wheel and tire sale.

I have purchased tires from Discount Tire in multiple states since 1979. Never had a problem. For someone to show up and expect them to drop everything to serve you is nutz. Why are they so busy? They do a damn fine job for lots of people!

I feel like showing up without an appointment and expecting immediate service because you spent 3200 on your wheels and tires makes you seem unreasonable and entitled. Your tire rotation is no more important than the single mom getting her flat fixed so she can go to her 2nd job. A 4 hour quote isn't a cop out. They were busy and you just showed up expecting them to just "work you in". As for me, ill continue to buy all of my wheels and tires from them. Best customer service ever. In fact, i have an appointment at 1615 with them tomorrow for some new wheels. Key word is appointment.

I've made an appointemnt for tire repairs 2 times, both appointments being for a specific time. I get that they moy not be able to hit that exact time becuse you never know how long other repirs or tire changes may take. But both times it seemed like they didn't care about the time or appointment. They installed several new sets for people that just walked in well after my time had come and gone. I guess its just the store your at and whos working that day. Maybe they were down on thier sales quota for the day and needed to rush in a few more sets. But it's all good. I factor in what its probably going to take on my schedule and I don't get wound up about it. There's worse things in life than having to wait more time than you thought for a tire repair. I'm glad that I can depend on them when I'm out on a trip and have a tire issue somewhere.

I love discount tire. Just make an appointment. I never expect to get in and out of there. I usually just drop it off for the day. Not something I want them to rush. When i got my 35"s from extreme terrain the weights fell off in shipping. My local Discount balanced them for free!

Yeah, Dealerships are only here to support our disappointment! I am still waiting for my warranty replacement shocks. At least 6 months!
