Materials;
One trailer hitch no ball.
3/4” black pipe, about 5’ but not a single piece.
Use a very short one, maybe a 2-3” piece a 1-2' piece at the mount, then a 3-4’ piece after.
2 black pipe end caps
2 female/female black pipe coupler
Black gloss spray paint
2 eye bolts
4 nuts to fit eyebolts
4 washers
1 hitch pin or lock
2 carabiner clips that fit into the hitch
screw black pipe into hitch hole where the ball would go. Use the very short piece here( a small coupler (double male) works well here.
screw black pipe female coupler onto the short piece above the hitch. Then end cap onto bottom threads as tight as you can. they should allow no movement up or down or at least very little.
Attach coupler to next set of threads threads above and screw in the next longest piece. Repeat again with female/female coupler then another longer piece. Whatever size you picked is fine. Mine is a bit over 5’ overall and holds a 3x5 flag fine).
drill out spots for the eye bolts and use washers and nuts to keep it in place.
Finish up with the other end cap at the top of the pole.
spray paint if desired(keeps it from rusting)
enjoy your flag pole!
This made it 5 years with my KL used it 4-5 times a year. Worked great on the gladiator today.
warning
do not go over 55 with the flag and pole attached. You will destroy the flag.
