Door Surrounds - where to buy?

I am wanting to purchase the header extended safari "cable" style bikini from Bestop, having a difficult time finding door surrounds for the JT. After a bit of digging I found out that the 4 door JL's share similarities with JT's. SO... Are the 4 door, front<>rear, JL door surrounds compatible with the JT?

Well, I clicked the link and in the right margin you can select all things to get to your model JT and you can see if it fits. It apparently does not fit my RUBI.

Top set is for a JK. Won't fit JL or JT.

Bottom set is for a JL, which since it's the front doors, WILL fit a JT.

I can NOT attest to the rears fitting a JT. There are supposedly differences.


Ahhhh, just read WHY you want these. The JL Bestop Cable Bikini won't work on the JT. Things are different on the back end.

They make a version for the JT. I was curious if the door surrounds could be purchased separately also. When I searched I could only find the fronts available and not the rear door surrounds. Probably because as you mentioned they are technically for the JL.

I was just going to post these links. They weren't there last month when I had searched their site. The rear driver side are out of stock, but I think I will be purchasing these along with the Bestop Safari top.

That's okay, when I went to Bestop the first time the Safari top with cable system didn't show up for the JT, but their site is always wonky for me.

That's nice to hear the fronts fit. I'll call Bestop tomorrow for more insight on the rear surrounds. Unfortunately, the only sure way is to purchase from Mopar and the only option from vendors is buying each door surround individually (DS, PS, front and rear) too costly. I have had no luck finding a vendor selling JT door surrounds as a complete kit.

You're exactly correct in what you're finding. The JL door surrounds are different than that of the JT and the only place to purchase them currently is through Mopar.

That's too bad, I guess the JTs may just be the only model not included. I'll go with the other version, really wanted the better coverage for rain.
