Hoping someone could clue me in. For a 4.5 lift do I need both front and rear drive shafts?

Depends. It is more about the shock length. Did the Teraflex st4 with their falcon shocks all that was required was some spacers on the carrier bearing. Have put it to the test no issues.

I started out with a metalcloak 3 1/2 in gamechanger lift. Was advised I would need to replace the front, so got the Adams 1350. Then, I wanted a little more height so replaced their coils with 4 1/2 in Evo Plush Rides (which also took care of the 'sag' effect in the rear I had w/ the MC setup). Then went from 37 in milestars to 40 in mickey thompsons, and replaced the rear with an Adams as well.. it stung a bit, but glad I did.

I haven’t replaced my front yet, but replaced the rear when the lift got to around 4.5” back there. I’ve been super happy with the Dana Spicer rear I installed. It” 3” OD steel, has a 1350 rear joint, is designed for a lift up to 6”, and still has the carrier bearing with spacer, so the angle into the t-case is perfect. It’s completely bolt on with no yoke changes, which made it a 1 hour driveway job. I’ve had zero issues with it off road or on, and I do some seriously nasty trails. The part number is DAN10132305.
