Looks like a dealer installed Mopar 2" lift is in my future.....
On that note: that mod is only warrantied by the dealer that installed it. At least that is what a couple dealerships told me. So if one dealer installs it, and something with the lift fails or causes another part to fail, another dealer won't warranty the work.

The warranty on the install labor is provided by the dealer. If there is an issue, it goes back to the installing dealer for remedy. The Mopar parts warranty is provided by the manufacturer. If a piece of the lift kit actually fails, any dealer should be able to handle the repair.

It's very difficult for a Dealer to justify denying warranty coverage on parts they installed on the vehicle, especially if they are Mopar parts.

There is a 2" Mopar lift kit available specifically for the Diesel models.
Mopar parts come with a 2 year warranty and when installed, they become part of the truck warranty. That's what my dealer told me. Brake controller, for example - me install or they install, still covered under either my truck warranty or the controller warranty.
I asked about lifts - same thing - MOPAR warranty and if the dealer installs it, there's their own warranty on their installation in addition to the warranty on the parts.
MOPAR parts are part of the truck.

If a part of the lift fails, MOPAR covers it. If the INSTALL is bad, the DEALER covers it. So if the dealer installs a MOPAR lift, the lift is warranted with the truck - but if they didn't have a spring set correctly, that's on the dealer that installed it. If a spring breaks - MOPAR covers it as part of the truck.
My dealer said that genuine MOPAR parts are covered either under the MOPAR part warranty or your truck warranty. Even if I do the install, it's covered.
I installed my own splash guards - MOPAR parts. A POM rivet broke - the dealer fixed it free.

This is beginning to suck.

My first brand new car since 1987 and I want to use it like a Jeep....... I have been bitten by the 4X bug and with my new Jeep on the way I find myself shopping for off road upgrades for my 2004 Chevy 2500.......

I floated the Idea of buying a beat up TJ for wheeling and it was not well received. I guess buying two in a month is my limit :)

For what it’s worth jeep won’t likely cover stuff that brakes on the trail regardless of mods. It’s trail rated ?? Not trail warrantable…
