its a bit of a mix between positive and negative and you really can tell without driving, but on paper.. Wider track with will be more stable both on and off road. it will change the motion ratio of the wheel, so dampers could have a different feel either good or bad. Change in scrub radius (depending how much wider your tire sticks out), there is a lot of info about this out there but my guess is you could notice tire wear the most. The software tuning for the EPS, Stability control, Traction control, and ABS will be a bit effected too. Example, since my 35 are heavier then stock wheels, the brake pressure for the stability control to grab the wheel is not enough so the well continues to turn but it does make it more fun for sliding around in the snow.can anyone think of any other drawbacks of a slight wider stance?
I also want to say, I've never tuned EPS, Stability control, Traction control, or ABS, so I dont know how much it will be effected (Might not even be able to notice) but most calibrations are very specific to trim levels and wheel / tire / engine combinations in my experience.
lots of fun stuff with vehicle dynamics haha. easy to change a bunch of things since a lot of them work together.
