My emergency brake keeps needing to be adjusted and I am getting tired of having to do it? Anyone go through this and have a fix?

Adjust them at the rotors first, then the cable if needed. You’ll will gets uneven bites on each rotor if you’re only adjusting the cable under the console.

I get the same thing and was looking for an adjuster on the back end. I didn’t look all the way to the rotors but I will now.

I had this problem too. Thought it was the parking brake shoes, but upon inspection they were like new. To adjust the shoes you need to remove the calipers in order to get to the rubber plugs on the backing plate. (Poor design ) Then with a brake spoon you can adjust the star wheel until the brake shoes drag, then back off just a little. I did all that, but the parking brake still would not hold. There are 2 bolts on the console behind pop out plastic covers, they need to be removed as well as 2 more bolts on the side of the console near the front. The console can then be raised and propped up, with a 10 mm deep socket and a couple of extensions you can then tighten up the adjusting screw on the cable. Mine seemed to loosen up every time I did this, so I put a lock nut on the adjustment screw, so far so good, I think that finally solved the loosening parking brake adjustment issue.

Yes, I have been doing the tightening under the console as well. I will change it out to a lock nut next time I go under there. Assuming it is an M6 if it is a 10 mm nut.

I kept the stock nut on and just added another nut to make a jam nut. You almost need to be a contortionist to do it, at least that is how us 75 year olds feel!

Agreed! I found it much easier with the rear seats flipped up.

Purple thread lock is made for set screws and such, easy removal. Hard to find locally.
