Engine light is on and my jeep shakes when idling and going up hills they changed my sensor 400.00 but light is still on can someone help with this issue ty

Go to auto zone or a parts store and have them scan it so you know why the check engine light is on….. What sensor did you have replaced?

You don’t need to post the same thing multiple times. However, go to an auto parts store and have them scan it so you know what code is triggering the check engine light….

Sry it kept saying page error and I did take it to a garage and they thought it was the censor on cattelac converter that cost me money and it didn't fix the issue

The forum had some issues earlier -
The garage just replaced a sensor?
Did they check for codes?
If it was shaking, it was likely misfiring - not a reason to replace a catalytic converter sensor.
Find a place that will read the codes and diagnose it..

Who did the work? Go back and have them correct it.

A rough running engine with a check engine light should be looked at right away. Continued driving could cause more problems. You could have multiple codes, one being a p0420. In this case the shop replaced the sensor that tripped the code. My guess would be that you have a misfire code along with a p0420 code. A misfire code would be p0300 to p0306. These are the codes that should be looked at first.

We really can't help without a code, just guesses at this point.

Good luck getting a crowd source magic bullet answer to solve your issue. Need to find a more competent shop to drill down on this. All you are going to get here is a bunch of "could be this" that may or may not pan out.
