It’s constant enough…and I’d say on a daily basis. But ofcourse I couldn’t duplicate the sound at the dealer parking lot.

Take them for a test drive.

He asked what octane fuel I used, I told him regular, he advised to use a higher octane.

Stupid dealership response. Seriously?

Noise stops the moment I let go of the gas. Say I’m traveling at about 18-20mph I let go of the accelerator and immediately press the gas slowly and smoothly kinda find the sweet spot and the noise will come on. if I accelerate to a higher speed noise stops.

Then it's definitely not the noise of a ping from detonation. In fact, detonation should be extremely rare in these engines. (unless they have the bad PCV issue that causes excess oil in the combustion chamber - there's a TSB for that)

Not a ping - that guy needs to take a new class in engines.

Agreed... very stupid suggestion. Even if it WAS pinging (which, it isn't), that would indicate a larger problem that should be addressed. Not just "run higher octane gas".

I'd find another dealer to go to ...and another... until you find one with a competent mechanic.

Resurrecting this thread as I’m curious if you figured out the issue. My 2022 just started this at 15K miles.
