You aren't the only one to think that. I ran into a reviewer who said they were very close in pattern and it instantly reminded them of the KO2. Dunno about that, but you aren't the first person I've read saying that.

I'm in a similar situation. Was looking at Rubicon take-offs, but I'm liking the pics I see with the stock rims with more aggressive tires. Which did you go with? I suspect I'll do little offroad and riding smoothly around town would be nice.

After reading hours worth of reviews and watching videos,
I went with General Grabber A/TX in 275/65R18 size.
More aggressive tread, the size is wider than the stock Overland tires, but not quite as wide as the Rubicon Falken tires.
The Rubicon Falken "take-offs" are 32.7 diameter and about 11.2" wide.
Stock Overland Bridgestone Dueler tires are 32.1" in diameter and 10.2"
The size General Grabber I went with is 32.1 diameter and 10.8" wide (or 11" wide by some tire sites, measurements vary depending on where you look!)
So they are the same size diameter as the Overland stock tires and .8" wider.

They also have a rim protector lip on the sidewall - the rim sits recessed into the sidewall a bit.

thank you so much for the detailed reply. Just got mine on Tuesay. Flipbak cover ordered, waiting for Line-X to call. Next will be tires, even my Wife says it needs something more aggressive. Probably the roughest thing I'll ever go over is a gravel road. I do less than 3K miles/yr. so I don't need intense tread.

I went on these factors mostly - snow and bad weather performance, ride comfort (these shine there), noise level.
I drive mostly pavement, want to be able to leave the road whenever I feel like it (rare but who knows?) and have the best I could get for our Iowa snow and black ice.

You can do your own reading and decide like I did -

No, I understand who makes them . It doesn’t appear they sell direct to the public so I was asking what vendor you bought them from.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh, mea culpa. Discount tire direct, offered the best price and best service. They may offer a discount HERE as well.

I went by my local Discount Tire today to look at some tires just to get a feel for their profile and dimensions. Only about two total tires on display, rest just rims. Quite surprised.
