Has anyone had this issue before? I park the gladiator and shut it off. When I restart the Jeep it does not start and I get these error messages. Even disconnecting the battery doesn’t help. I have brought it to the dealer before and they said it was the battery and replaced it. Obviously, it wasn’t the battery because they didn’t look at it for four days and the battery drained because of the message center not turning off. After they replaced the battery I got this same screen. This will be the fourth time brining it in. It is not the auto start/stop because I always turn it off. Any and all advice is appreciated. @JeepCares

That can happen when the security information that is shared between the transmission controller and engine controller is not synced up. Kind of like your rolling codes on your garage door. It can happen when the battery dies slowly and one controller stays on longer. The dealer needs to reset it or if you have an unlock PCM you can do a write entire on the calibration for the PCM and it will reset.

No clue how to do that. Only 7k miles on it. It started getting squirrelly before and after a new battery replacement. It seems to come and go. What exactly would they have to do!

Did they test and replace both batteries? When the ESS battery starts to fail, it creates a drain on the Primary battery, which can cause it to fail. Replacing just the Primary battery is a temporary fix that covers up the problem. The computers misbehave when the voltage level gets too low. The ESS battery is there to keep the computers stable during an ESS event. The button on the dash just keeps the ESS events from occurring, it does not disable or turn off the ESS system. If the voltage level drops too low while parked, the computers will misbehave and there will be issues trying to get it started.
