I was making a left turn at the green light, my normal daily commute, approx 20-30mph acceleration id guess. Then bam I thought my wheel was falling off. Such a loud thump thump thump thump sound and yes the steering wheel was tough to hold. I was going to slow down but couldn’t with other cars behind me. So I road it out to the next light. Pulled over check my wheels to make sure they didn’t look like they were falling off.
I just finished checking all the torque specs on shocks, tie rod ends, drag link and steering stabilizer. All were to spec. But I did notice my tie rod wobble. I know some play is acceptable or do I need to replace mine.

That's your tie rod. Drag Link is next one up, attached to passenger wheel and Pittman arm on steering box on driver.

I have no idea if its the issue but I'd ditch the stock stabilizer, its just junk. I just had the Terraflex Falcon Nexus 2.2 stabilizer installed and holy crap what a difference it makes.

I think I got it. Combination of two things. I didn’t grind enough to fit the metalcloak track bar but had it tight enough to never create DW, drove it like this for over a year. But I recently added the metalcloak steering stabilizer relocation bracket. So with the added material of bracket I wasn’t able to get the bolt tight enough. I clearanced the axle bracket more and will see how this feels now assuming I had movement there before.

I’m not ashamed to show my mishaps so hopefully others will catch it too if they have issues.
