Hey all,

Installed EVO stainless front and rear brake lines over the weekend and after bleeding and a test drive I noticed that they are rubbing on the rear tires. I searched the forum and didn’t see anyone reporting this issue. Anyone run into this and come up with a solution?

I thought maybe a loose zip tie on the swaybar links so they could still travel when needed but I am not in love with that idea.

Thanks!

Let us know how it works. For obvious reasons, rubbing brake lines isn't something you can ignore.

Def update with how they work. I installed the EVO lines in the rear a couple weeks ago and they sit closer to the tire than I’d like w/ a 4.75” BS wheel. When I switch to my steelies for winter, I’m thinking they’ll rub as well.

Yep. I’m running the AEV Borah’s and I’m right there with you. The retainers are supposed to be here on Thursday and I’ll take before and after pics and let you know how they do.

I watched The Ginger’s video from EPIC adventure outfitters and the final steps of putting a 392 in his gladiator and noticed that he was running the rear retainers on his as the camera panned across the rear suspension a couple of times.

Just finished installing these. Probably one of the easiest and cheapest additions you could make (if you have extended lines) that could literally save your life. No way those lines will ever rub on the tire again. Before and after pics attached.

Just thought about this thread since I’m running some stock steelies for winter. They are definitely close but clear fine.

How long are these Evo brake lines? I'm considering these or the 33" Teraflex extended travel kit
