What the headliners, will they still be there when the Freedom Panels are flipped back to closed after highway speeds?
Good question. As it is, I only take my Freedom Panels off driving around town.

This product is exactly what I love about the free enterprise of America. Here is a man that had an idea and put the time, effort, and money behind a product he finds helpful. Then he markets his idea to share and possibly sell it to those that may benefit from his invention. May not be for everyone, but I am sure he loves his product.

American capitalism at its best! Good luck to him.
Absolutely! It's not for me but I'm sure costumers exist. Good for him.

Hope he does well!

Neat idea. Wildly overpriced.
Like many small-volume products, the price reflects a lot more that just the cost a a few pieces of hardware. If they were made in China by the hundreds of thousands . . .

Just seems like they would leak or fly off at some point. Not to mention rattle and bounce around on the highway

I thought the key fob thing was solving a non-existent problem, but this steps it up a notch with a crazy price, an opportunity for leaks, and looking really stupid.

I can imagine someone coming alongside and frantically beeping to tell me I left the Freedom Panels lying on top of the Jeep!

Hah, great point!

This should be put in the same heep pile as the frowny-clown grills and 24" wheels.

Hey folks... just stumbled upon this on FB... A WAY TO FIP BACK THE FREEDOM PANELS?!?!

www.ezuft.com

to be clear, I have no affiliation with it...just thought I’d pass it on...

I grabbed these pics from the FB post

Very interesting concept. For me the ease of quickly opening the roof panels would be a welcome convenience, but the real lure is the storage aspect. We tow ours behind our motorhome, usually quite a bit of gear in the box and the dog in the back seat. Doesn't leave much room for the panel storage when the urge to open up occurs. That said, the other worries mentioned here do give pause. I'd like to find one with the system installed sometime to take a look.

Thanks for sharing, but it's a no for me. I see the fit and seal getting really hanky in the long run from getting beat up in the wind.

I was at Bantam. I spoke to Richard who developed this product, seems like a solid american made product. Very neat idea. I picked up a set. Going to install them soon.

Can you keep us updated on what you think of them ? Very interested in maybe getting a pair, just have not seen any reviews of them yet.
