I realized I never posted my updates here!

I like that decked system idea for drawers but I use my truck as a truck too often. So I made these. They use UHMW plastic to be drawer slides so I don't have to drill anything in!

Heres a photo of it. I don't really have good in progress photos.

The general idea is the UHMW plastic slides on the truck bed. And it does really well.

Since there's nothing truly holding it down you just have to make sure to put the heavy stuff at the back. Like I do with my big battery bank.

Finally, my update! It's held up really well. We're approaching a full year at this point, 4 more months than this video and the top has survived a blizzard, desert heat, California sun and torrents of rain. It's still going strong! I also add chase lights in the back and they REALLY make it feel finished. I hooked the lights up to the tow plug so they work with brake and turn signals!

Originally I had it be orange for dust chase lights but my friend pointed out tail lights must be red. So I updated the running lights to be red only but kept orange turning on for turn. This way I can add a flasher control in and flash the orange in the desert.

Also, I finally figure out how to add a door prop that works. The door prop makes it actually useful.

The video is me getting ready for a trip and adding the chase lights. But the first few minutes I go over how the cover has survived since being built.

Here are the prop and lights. I used a relay to control the center brake light off the 4 pin.plug. It works great!

Last weekend I installed the coverking headliner.

I wanted this one since it's a total coverage headliner. No fiberglass is visible once you're done. And man is it amazing at reducing the echo in the cab! And I saw 10-15 degree difference inside sitting in the sun.

I'm working on a photo instructions to post in the how to section since their instructions are terrible.

But until my text based instructions are ready, I did record a how I did video. It's not a how to. More of a hang in the shop while I figure this thing out.
