I’m going with FabTech or genright. The customer service from both has been top notch and well priced compared to Road Armor and others.

I have seen a few FL local JL/JT owners with the MC fenders and each one of them is rusting in various spots under the powder coating. YMMV.

I’d be happy to have my mind changed on the MC fenders as they look great for a wider option!

I personally prefer the slim fender look however, anecdotally, have seen MC fenders rusting more than others.

Fishbone, DV8 and RR both make fenders that are more economically priced.
They all rust equally the same. It is extremely difficult to get Powder coating in the weld spots.

At least up here in the rust belt, they all act the same. My choice for MC came from their CS being willing to overnight stuff if I break something, which the other companies you mentioned do not do. MC has a tremendous track for being tough as shit for armor.

What really sold me, however, was seeing every companies fenders get crushed from a slide into a tree or rock. All except PS and MC. So for functionality, It is a no brainer between those two.

If the fenders are stronger doesn’t it just crush the body in an impact? The is one of the benefits of the oem fenders they pop off in an impact instead of damaging the panel they are attached.

@Mac depends on the fenders. MC and JCR are the only ones available with a inner fender bracket brace but I think it will crush anyways depending on impact.

I’m still deciding on fenders but I’m leaning towards oem rubicon. If steel, I would silicone the inner welds just like I did to my bumpers.

Ahh I forgot about JCR good call! Those are super solid too.

@Mac , with the inner fender brace, no. I literally flipped on my MC's, hard, as well as had all tires slip on wet rocks and I slammed down onto the fenders (all 4), with no body damage and only scratches on the fenders (broke my hard top on the flip, which is why i currently only have a soft top lol).

No body damage anywhere.

Hey @Mjolnir how are your MC flares holding up? I haven’t pulled the trigger on a set yet but just getting back around to revisiting the decision. Didn’t know if there were other new options available or how those out previously are holding up to abuse and weather over time.

They have been great. The ones on my JK are still looking great too (5+ years), I haven't pushed my JT like I did with my JK yet, but they are the same fenders so they will hold up just as well.

I purchased mine bare and had them Painted to match my truck and give that "stock" look. I agree that MC makes the nicest fenders. I love the look of mine. I had the tubes painted satin black so I can touch them up with a rattle can every time I rub against something.
