Fender liner

Driving cross country through windy Oklahoma. 2 hrs from my overnight stay, started feeling cold air coming through the passenger side under the dash and glove box towards floor. Finally stopped at hotel for the night. Inspected the wheel well, sure enough, soft liner was torn half way up the FOX shock. Ever experienced this? If so, is that absence of the liner a significant contribution to that wind hitting the back of the glove compartment?

This is a common flaw on some earlier gladiators. Dealers will supply a different part number at no cost
