Fender mods that aren't permanent

Are there any fender mods that aren't permanent? I'm trying to decide which way to go, but all the mods seem like it's a permanent change.

XR fender flares extensions are only semi permanent. Not that difficult to drill out the old rivets and just fill the empty holes with new rivets.

The only option I see is to replace the fenders and liners without modifying the stock parts. Then you can change your mind anytime. The fender/liner can easily be removed as an assembly. I’ve done it twice. If I decide I want more clearance, my plan is to replace with aluminum fenders and liners, with lights on the replacements.
