Ok fellas, officially 'joining' the forum. Walked out with $49k plus taxes which I thought was a good deal on a oil burner. Last diesel was a BMW X5 that served me extremely well for 82k (though had 2 crticial emission related issues and both covered under extended BMW warranty). Will keep it stock for the most part other than bed cover and LED bulb upgrade. I traded in my Ford Ranger (30k and not a single issue) due to small rear seats, small gas tank and gas milege was just ok (still better than Tacoma/Canyon).

Not a serious off-roader but I hit the mountains in Tahoe/Reno for camping/fishing. I would been happy with the Willys or Sports but the lack of the rubicon hood would hurt my man pride so I went with the rubby ;).

Nice rig. Choosing the diesel might make "running into the ground" occur faster than a gasser, but you'll certainly enjoy more power and a much more enjoyable driving experience until that happens! :)

I'd research into the high pressure fuel pump issues and consider what can be done to mitigate emissions problems.

Enjoy it, these trucks are awesome!

Love the white (obviously, I'm biased). You're going to love the capabilities and how easy it is to drive off-road. You're camping/fishing spots are going to start getting further and further off grid :)
