i can agree with that statement. its gunna suck riding around in my sport s with the stock wheels/tires.....gotta upgrade to something.I dunno the Tacoma is kind of fitting stock. Maybe I’m putting it too offensive. Let’s just say the Gladiator begs for bigger tires and it is so badass looking with them - again IMHO.
wonder if you can get away with this on a sport S.35’s and no lift. No problem on a Rubicon

yeah i don't get it. looking at a wrangler rubicon on the dealer lot, the stock tires look fine. Looking at that black vs red first post the OP made, the black with stock tires looks to be ........not idea.I ordered a Rubicon believing that as it comes from the factory it would be able to do everything I want and look good doing it.
Now with the OP showing the stock Rubi and then one with 35’s on it you have me rethinking my plan of action..
Going down the Jeep rabbit hole!
Can you put 35's on a stock LE rim?35’s and no lift. No problem on a Rubicon

And how’s those sexist remarks going for you at work ? Just curiousIt’s kind of a joke. Both my vehicles are utilitarian right now. The CR-V is actually my wife’s. She puts a ton of miles on her vehicle and doesn’t see a need to waste them on something expensive. My car sits in a parking lot at the airport most of its life. Both I paid cash for brand new.
I’ve owned expensive vehicles, over $100k in fact. My last “fun” vehicle was a Tesla P100D.
Currently, I don’t own a third vehicle and have largely decided on buying an Olive Drab Gladiator Rubicon in the fall when they come out. Hence, my presence here.
If we are penis swinging, I also have a class A license with tank and doubles and triples, and I’ve driven plenty. My current work vehicle is in excess of 200,000 pounds and speeds along at about 80% the speed of soundI own an airplane and a 60 foot boat. I kind of get a kick out of people judging me based on my little Impreza.
This still brings it all back to my original statement: The Gladiator looks a little girly without 35s. I’ll expand...The tires look a little too small for the truck in stock form...to me. How about this with a positive spin: I think there is drastic improvement in the looks of the Gladiator with bigger tires and perhaps a lift. Better? No feelings hurt by saying “girly”![]()
Don’t see much difference between the factory lifted black LE and the dealer lifted red Rubi (also came factory lifted)!?37s are the new 35s... heard this myself on youtube... so must be true...
I think it’s only available on the Overland/Sahara. ;{Is there an aftermarket leather dash just like the LE that you can replace in a non LE gladiator?
I have the part numbers for the rest of the dashes - I now need that one.....I have to admit, the dash on the LE does look pretty good![]()
No stock lift on the Rubicon, however, they do have those high clearance fenders that are only offered on that trim packageI think the JTR comes with a lift , maybe...
The front fenders are set higher, for sure...
LOL I was hoping to see him brag about his "net worth" at the end of that rant though, somewhat disappointed by it heheAnd how’s those sexist remarks going for you at work ? Just curious
I agree by his reply he must be dandy .

Don't quote me but as far as I know they do not have a lift, but the fenders are raised an inch or two.Pretty sure the JTR comes with a factory lift, that’s why it accepts 35’s right off the factory floor... there are a couple threads here on the forum about the factory lift. Don’t think it’s terribly high... 1-1/2” to 2” maybe... but the factory Rubis (JT’s & JL’s) stand higher than other trim lines. The JT Overland is definitely lower than the JT Rubi! ;{

Here are some shots of the spring difference in the trim models.;{Don't quote me but as far as I know they do not have a lift, but the fenders are raised an inch or two.
