Flat tow wiring

I have ordered and returned three flat tow wiring harnesses. The connectors have pins and my Gladiator taillights have slots for connection. The three came from ETrailer, Curt and Blue Ox so they are not cheapo copy harnesses. I tried the dealership but they said this harness is on backorder indefinitely. Has anyone found a flat tow wiring harness that fits and works? For now I am using magnetic ttaillights with a blue tooth connection, but I would rather thave the Gladiator trun signals work.

I have a suggestion, and I've thought about this a lot for if I ever got a Class C or A motor home and want to flat tow my Gladiator (instead of my Gladiator being the towing vehicle for my travel trailer).

In the rear bumper are two reflectors that are just sitting there, reflecting on their value to the overall scheme of things.

Is it possible to cut them out and replace them with working lights that you can wire like you would a utility trailer, with a flat 4 connection? They would then give you rear running lights, turn signals, brake lights, hazards, just as if you were towing a utility trailer. Wiring would be extremely simple with no tapping into your Gladiator's wiring what so ever.

Just my $0.02 ($0.03 Canadian).

I got the blue ox flat tow wire harness with the diodes you’ve got to cut in to your tail light wires from Etrailer that work well on my 25 Gladiator. Flat towed it behind my class A coach from Texas to Florida and just got home. No problems at all.

Great idea. Just run some trailer light wires to it. I've just stuck with some really good quality magnetic lights. Just slap them on and go. I don't see any reason to screw with the tail lights and cause another place for my wiring harness to create shorts.
