Flat towing with tow plate and LoD bumper

So have been looking for an aftermarket bumper winch bumper that would work with my already installed base plate. Looking at LoD signature bumper because I wanted the winch mounted low and thought it might work. Looks like I’m going to resize winch plate about a 1/4” to clear the tow brackets. Plan is to cut one ear off winch plate and move it in and reweld it. Everything should clear. Thought about just getting adapters for my tow bar to go to d rings but leaving in a couple of days to go to Ouray and don’t have enough time.

Not sure exactly what you have but I have Warn 12K winch with Jeep JT steel bumper. The winch is mounted on a warn winch plate and sits down very nicely to clear bumper but tight. Wouldn't recommend cutting winch plates unless you know what you are doing as some are very modest in construction. Might look at the Warn winch plate for your needs. Very strong and well made. Plans changed. Didn’t end up shortening the winch plate. Loosened up the roadmaster tow plate, lowered it and slipped the winch plate between it and used a floor jack and a bfh to put it back in place. It’s a LoD signature bumper with winch plate and it’s a stout sucker.
