Floor Jack for Lifted Jeeps

When installing my lift and other tires on/off adventures in my suburban, middle-class garage, I quickly realized that my low-profile Harbor Freight floor jack was not up for the task. I'm up to three pieces of 2x4 to shim enough to get any lift on the frame. OSHA compliant? Not even close! I can actually hear the wood cracking in protest as I lift my truck skyward with all the might my little floor jack can muster.

What floor jack do you guys use in the garage to lift, a lifted Jeep? That said - I can't put in a lift, and the Quick Jack is not really in my budget currently.

The Pro Eagle is pretty awesome. It's not cheap, but its quality. Having used some less expensive jacks before, it was definitely worth it to me to have something solid and safe. Wheels are also great when pushing around my not perfectly clean garage space.

Also love the mean mother air baloon jack thing. Not really the same type of jack, but it does a great job on the trails :P and doesn't weight a lot.

I just lift it up at the axle and then put jackstands on the frame when it's high enough. That's worked well for all my applications so far. I've got the Mopar lift and rubi takeoffs on now. Even with a bone stock sport S, my jack couldn't lift the tire off the ground lifting by the frame. Gotta love that suspension travel!

What Tiny said. Jack Stands are 100% critical to safety once you've got that thing in the air :P
