I had the 3.5T Big Red but it was too heavy to manoeuvre in and out of the truck so my neighbor bought it and I then picked up the Torin 3T for $150 at Costco (Canada). I believe Big Red and Torin are made in the same location in the US. It’s been a much better jack than the old one. Has a low entry of 3.5”
and height of just over 18”. If I need it higher, I’ve got an old 4x6 piece of oak timber I place on the jack that works perfectly

Since I won't be using it frequently I ended up picking up a Black Jack 3 ton from Walmart. Apparently made by Torin because their name is on the safety label. Not really impressed. It lifts Ok. But the release is really tight and it is hard to get a slow drop.

I was actually in HF a couple days ago, ready to buy one, but their credit card services were down so I had to walk away.
I'm pretty sold on the "Daytona 3 Ton low profile, long reach" at $199.
It has a max lift of 24 inches which is pretty high for a floor jack.
I love Costco and always gravitate towards their products, but the Arcan jack is only 18 inches lift.

Related question to the floor jack. If I plan on lifting one tire at a time to swap summer to winter tires, what location should I be lifting from. I will be using a Harbor Freight floor jack but I am unsure of where to place it at each corner. Can you please share some insight so this does not end in some form of tragedy.

I don't know if it's the best spot, but I put the floor jack near the end of the axle where the spring and shock are attached.

I usually just jack it up on the axle close to the wheel I want to lift off the ground. I have two large floor jacks I use when I rotate my tires, that is how I do it.
