I have an aftermarket steel, winch ready front bumper and I want to install fog lights on the bumper using the factory wiring and factory in cab switch. Original fog lights are in the factory bumper. Is that possible and is there a fog light, like KC Highlites, a plug and play or is additional wiring connecters necessary. I have the original wiring harness that was in the factory bumper. Welcome any suggestions.

Several brands offer kits to go from their light to the factory harness but it is usually ones designed to go in place of the OE lights. Does your bumper have cutouts for OE-style fogs or are you looking to mount something else? Off the top of my head I think Diode Dynamics and Baja Designs have kits like this. Perhaps they can sell you the harness and more traditional aftermarket style lights. Or, most of those lights use a standard 2-pin Deutsch connector so I am sure if you look at Amazon or Quadratec you can find that harness.

I used the diode dynamics led fog lights in mine. Reused the factory wiring harness out of the plastic bumper. They came with new pigtails that match right up and mounted into my aftermarket steel bumper no problem. I'd definitely recommend them. Almost bright enough on their own to use in place of headlights. I went with the ss3 pro lights in yellow.

Were you able to use the factory dash switch for on and off?

You not want to take your stock lights out or don’t have LEDs? It’s a little bit annoying to take it all apart, but an impact made quick work of it. Now it’s all in a pile to go to the landfill. Not like anyone buys stock plastic bumpers. I see them for sale, but no one buys them. Many people can’t give them away.

Piggy backing here, I want lights that plug into the factory harness but are a standard mount rather than in bumper.

Two times I was glad I had the stock bumper, air dam and other parts - the dealers here want them put back to stock when you trade them in.
Now I have to figure out what to do with the powder coated steel "rubicon type knock-off" bumper I have laying around. Dealer said put the Overland back to stock, so that steel bumper came off and is laying in a pile of parts in the garage.
May get scrapped or hauled up to the end of the driveway with a "free" sign on it.
Same for the 1" Synergy front springs, max tow rear, Rubicon spring set and some other stuff.
Gotta go - dealers didn't want it.

I used diode dynamics on mine also. Comes with but I'm using a factory steel bumper. They do have pigtail harnesses that came with them. You can also contact them and order the correct pigtails if your just mounting them on top or non factory mounted. When I initially bought mine I did the factory mount kit and then added 2 standard mounts off Amazon later on as I moved them up on my old motobilt bumper.

I got a steel bumper that came with LED fog lights. The wiring connectors didn't match up, so I just removed the connectors on the new lights and put the connectors from my factory halogen lights on them. Was super easy and everything works as it did originally with the factory button.

Another option if I'm understanding your question, reuse the LES's and add Morimoto 2banger ditch lights. They have a very broad flat light. Work very well.
