If you are in the Peters Mill/Taskers Gap area getting your Badge of Honor, and you want to do some easy nearby trails, I have something for you.
Edinburg Gap road is a Forest Service Road that begins at the Taskers Gap access parking area
This road provides access to hiking/biking/camping areas in the George Washington National Forest and serves as a bypass for non-ATV's to get south towards Moreland Gap/Hidden Spring Road without doing the ATV trails.
Rating: 1/10, smooth gravel graded road. Length: 5.7 miles.

When you get to the end of the road, if you go right you take Hidden Spring Road to the Mount Jackson VA area.
If you go left it is State Route 730, Moreland Gap Road which leads to the Camp Roosevelt area. When you get to the intersection make the right onto Crisman Hollow Road.
Rating: 1/10, smooth gravel graded road. Length: 7.6 miles.

When you are near the end of this road it will turn to asphalt, and you will see a parking area for a trailhead on your left. This is the Massanutten Storybook Trail Overlook.

If you go on the trail, you will be greeted with a spectacular view of the valley below, with clear views of Luray and Shenandoah National Park.
After that just follow to the end of the road to US-211, left to Luray, right to New Market.
