Like the title says, I found this thing sitting on the driver's side floor mat. It looks like it might've fallen off from some interior trim piece, but I cannot tell where. Does this look familiar to anyone?

Not sure it was ever figured out, but here is another discussion on it:
https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/random-plug-looking-peice.61672/

Thanks! Read that entire thread and it looks like there was never a definitive conclusion. I was really hoping it was just some random trash or something that got stuck to the bottom of my shoe and was tracked inside or something, but seeing that another person found the exact same part has me a bit worried. :) Honestly, the more I look at it the more it seems like one of those plugs that is used to package sockets/extensions/etc. and I've bought a lot of random tools lately so it's totally possible that's what it is. But, what are the odds that someone else found exactly the same kind of part over a year ago? Guess I'll just hold onto forever now.....

I wouldn't worry about it. My bet is that it is some sort of temporary plug or packaging material that is removed during the assembly process.

I agree that it looks like a plug out of a new socket. But to be safe, I’d throw it in the console or storage bin in case I found out later what it is.
