These images came up in my memories today.
It was at this time last year that my dad's health was failing rapidly, and dealing with everything around that process was taking a mental toll on me.
My escape, whenever time allowed, was to work on the annual detailing of the Mojave. I had the luxury of it not being a daily driver, so I could leave the project and go take care of him and his needs for as long as was necessary, and then get back to it when I got home and needed to work off some energy.
If you ever have heavy thoughts burdening your mind, I highly recommend throwing yourself into something like this. It makes you tired so you can sleep, and you stay focused on what you're doing, instead of the other things.
Somebody out there in the Raleigh, NC area got themselves on Hell of a great JT last Summer when I traded.
I still like the Canyon, but man, I LOVED that Jeep!
