The Willys '41 is high on my list of trucks to buy. I like the military look, but don't like the decals (4x4/Willys) on the hood.
How hard is it to remove the decals without damaging the paint? Should I try myself or ask the dealer to do it.
Or bring it in to a body/paint shop?

This is how it looks from the factory...

I'm thinking of adding military style decals like Dirt Road Creed did to their Wranger.

Also, I believe the top of the hood is black. So I would have it painted '41 green.

It's not hard, get the heat gun and blow it over the letters (not too close) and you will feel the letter getting soft and you can peel it off the hood. That's how I did with mine.

There are also YouTube video's that I've watched. You can see how people do it. I tried finding the best one that I saw from Dirt Road Cred, but now I don't see it. Freaking YouTube. Anyway, I'd suggest you see how others are doing it to make sure you are comfortable tackling it.

Hair dryer to warm, peel up decal then use a micro fiber cloth and goo gone to clean surface area, piece of cake!
