I'm not exactly sure of your question, but they are different gear ratios, so they are not interchangeable. Just drop the "P" from the front and search on the part numbers for more info.

920AF is a standard width front axle with 3:73 gears

929AD has been superseded by 929AE and is a WIDE front axle with 4:10 gears.

The way to tell is to take the ENTIRE part number, which is 68376920AF or 68376929AD (AE) and search a MOPAR parts site. They give you a full description of each of the axles. @jac04 already did the leg work for you.

Yes, it will bolt up, no it isn't for your JT.

The seller has both front and rear axles. if I purchased both and installed them instead of the 3.73 would I need a different drive shaft ? and would there be any other modifications I would need to do?

The only thing you should have to do is change your gear ratio with a tazer…or other device, also if these are rubicon axles then you would need wiring for lockers to work, driveshafts should be same

Did you get your axles installed? Was it straight forward with the new axle’s replacing the originals? Everything lining up and connecting?
