Front plates on new Gladiator

Not sure if it is law, but if you are going to travel to Canada, or Mexico, it is probably a good idea to have your front license plate mounted.

In states where no front plate is required, there is no front plate issued. There is nothing to mount. My state does not give out front plates. We're close enough to the Canadian border (just New York in between) that I'm sure there are a few Pennsylvania cars in Ontario at all times. None of them will ever have a front plate, it doesn't exist.

There, they just take what you have and stick you in a jail waiting for ransoms to get paid.

Our field engineers and installers were told to carry $2,000 USD from the company account to use as "get the heck out of this country" money.
It was normally required in parts of South America, Eastern Europe, Northern Africa......
But one time it didn't work and one of the field engineers (a Russian immigrant working for the company) called our headquarters frantic as heck. The room was full of company officers and voices were loud and animated. The guy was being held in Russia as a spy. They claimed his laptop and the cases of electronic equipment was spying equipment. The guy was freaking out. They got him back but wow.
Another guy was working in a remote area of rough terrain, can't recall the country, but the only way out was by helicopter or small plane.
He was walking into a hanger to meet the people who were to fly him back to civilization when he was approached by a guy in a nice white suite and white hat, a guy on each side of him holding automatic weapons. Again - what is this stuff, prove it, show us...... he had to use all 2 grand to get out and only got back some of his equipment.
There's still a world out there most people aren't aware of.
