I’m so damn confused by lift kits and springs. Seems everything is measured on a rubicon or gives more lift than it’s rated for. Looking for a pair of springs to lift my Sport S max tow front end 2.5-3 inches.

Talk to the guys at @Clayton Off Road . Unfortunately I have a Rubicon so I'm probably only adding to the problem, but I think their 2.5" spring will get you really close to what you want. I put the 2.5" Overland lift on my truck and it's a lot more than 2.5". I won't speculate on what it would be on your truck, but they have awesome customer service and will definitely be able to help you.

Mopar performance lift springs will do what you want. 2” on a rubicon is 2.5~3” on a non-Rubi.

Are they available outside of the Mopar lift kit?

Yes, they are. I have the rears on my “to buy” list. I unfortunately don’t have the front part numbers handy but if you pull up the installation instructions, you’ll be able to find them. When I looked last, they were very fairly priced at $150/pair.

With that much lift you are going to need to make other changes -
re-center the front axle (get an adjustable track bar at the least)
and get your control arms back to more level - get caster where it needs to be.

There are other threads on the topic of "how much" and basically, all anyone can do is give a best guess. Even Sports can have different weights. There isn't any way to say "it will give a sport xx" lift". They might get close based on what they do under other trucks, but don't blame anyone if you get more or less under YOUR truck.

^agreed... I have a sport max tow with Clayton 2.5" springs, which netted me 2.5"-3". I also have adjustable track bars (F & R), longer brake lines, Apex sway bar disconnects, and Clayton adjustable upper and lower control arms to get the geometry back in check.

What bumpers? Plastic bumpers the clayton leveling kit front springs will get you there. Steel bumpers and winch I went to 2.5" claytons to get back to 2.5-3 over stock max tow.

Im definitely aware that I’ll need more than the springs. the plan is to do control arm drop brackets to address caster and a track bar to recenter the axle, as well as Bilstien 5100s. I HAVE to get this junk Iron Rock Off-road spacer lift off my truck. Damn thing rattles terribly going down the road

So I just went down the rabbit hole and priced out every part of the Mopar lift separately. It’s a couple hundred less expensive to buy all the parts separately instead of buying the kit. Who would’ve thought?

What did you put on the rear after that?

I had originally "built" my own setup (Evo springs, Clayton bars all around) but ended up swapping the springs for Clayton's. The whole lift now is essentially the Clayton Overlander Plus kit. (I still have the Evo springs, which I've been trying to get rid of...)

Got it, I asked because it sounded like everyone in the thread with the max tow was doing the front springs at 2.5 but nothing mentioned about the rear. I think with fronts that big the max tow springs would have to go.
