Frozen Mud is Concrete

I had a similar experience a long time ago, when I buried my 76 Scottsdale stepside's diffs into frozen mud at about 20 mph.

Four other trucks pulling on it did nothing, and it took two wreckers a while to get it out.

If you do get stuck in mud, try not to leave it there to freeze up, or wait until Spring to get it out.

Here in Michigan we have gravel pits and wooded areas with mud that turns very hard after drying.
