Just finished putting the rack and tent on this morning. Super impressed with the tent so far though I do have a few reservations but will reserve judgment until I’ve used it a few times. The only problem now is I’m getting a terrible flapping sound above 40mph and not sure where it’s coming from? It’s a hard shell tent so where is the flapping coming from?? I tried to go pro the tent while driving and didn’t see anything concerning. One of my concerns is the bottom of then tent has no hard cover. It’s a waterproof lining that covers the mattress. It does flap a little in the front but doesn’t seem enough material to make it that loud. Could it be the wind between the tent and can just going through?? I’m at a loss.

Wow, that's odd with the flapping sound. I have a Leitner rack with the FSR Odyssey, which like the EVO, has no hard cover on the bottom. Except for some MPG loss, I don't notice it's there. I can't think of anything it could be except that small piece you reference.

I almost ordered that one because I like the two inch slimmer profile. But wanted to store bedding which is why I went with the EVO. But yes the portion of the tent in very front keeps dipping down which causes the flapping sound. I put a piece of cardboard up there which has actually stopped the flapping sound. Janky remedy but works. Probably will have to get something more permanent in the future. I called FSR and I guess several people have had similar issues. My next problem that I just found out is the tent doesn’t close square and is way uneven.

Oh man, that sucks about it closing unevenly. At least FSR acknowledged the issue, and you have a remedy, as janky as it might be.

I'm going to get a Front Runner (or Rhino Rack) wind fairing to mount in front of mine to hopefully get some of my MPG's back. I'll let you know how it works as that may help solve your initial issue as well.
