Reading all these replies one thought comes to mind.
I had issues with my KL push button popper on icy cold days but 360 days as year it was great. I wonder if that could be retro fitted to a JT. Put the button in the center console or something.

Went through the car wash today. I've been through it 3-4x a week for 3 years in my KL never had an issue.
Today i left the wash first time in the JT and my fuel door was wide open. I can only guess the wash opened it somehow.

Is there such thing as a locking cover? Or any ideas how to make sure it stays closed? I mean velcro could work, but then it would be very difficult to open. magnets perhaps?

has anyone else had this happen?
Nothing but hand jobs for my machine, if it opens it’s my fault

So my fuel door does it too. I've even had it pop open in the interstate during high winds too. My main concern is it just snapping off on me at some point and it being an eyesore. I might just do a DIY job and put a lock cylinder in it. I mean, it's just plastic after all.

That’s what I’ve been contemplating doing. Putting a cabinet lock in it.

The first time I went through a car wash after purchasing mine the fuel door was open. I did some searching but found nothing that looked good for me so I keep a roll of blue painters tape under my rear seat. When I know I'm going to go wash, I put a small piece on there, maybe a couple inches, and It's never opened again. I saw that some had their door or the cover ripped off so rather than take the chance I just take a couple seconds to do this.
