That I agree with. It is more like a Gator's belly. I've eaten enough to know..It's not that I think a coonass can't like it, they just aren't going to see that as Gator. Gator belly maybe.

I thought we had established that this was some sort of a primer coat..This picture is a perfect example..
The jeep in the background is the same color as the one in the foreground but they look different.
Some other source confirmed that this is the production gator color but I cannot confirm if this is true. This was taken in the Toledo assembly and posted on the forums before.

Link??I thought we had established that this was some sort of a primer coat..
If I was a betting man I would bet these were some of the first Gator green gladiators produced most likely for the color harmony tests.Link??
Where was this discussed to be a primer? Why would a primer have a sheen like a clear coat?
I'm no paint expert but this does not look like a primer to me.
How close would you say it is to the Gladiator Brochure that shows the Spirt S in Gator? This picture is a perfect example..

I have not seen this brochure but it looks pretty damn close! How close would you say it is to the Gladiator Brochure that shows the Spirt S in Gator?

That is actually what I was afraid of.... someone in a different post called it "Gobi Green" or "The Gator's Belly" - seem's like that may be true. Was really hoping for a bit darker.I have not seen this brochure but it looks pretty damn close!
Are you sure? Because on the JK there was a Tank color and a Sarge Green color and they were 2 different colors. That color is supposedly coming back to the Wrangler at the end of the year but it will be renamed SARGE Green.
Is there still confusion about whether the Wayout is Gator? Because I thought it had been firmly established that it is Gator, like it or not.I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago, and not gonna lie, I’ll be pretty disappointed if the actual color is closer to the concept vehicle than what is depicted in the online configurator.

There’s something about the slightly darker green that I really prefer.
EDIT:
I cropped the front door panels in both images to give a better idea of the difference in color appearance (lighting, screens, etc all influence it, sure). But I can’t help but think of the way out concept as “Gobi Green” and the configurator color as what I interpret as “Gator Green”

No, I'm not sure. We had a discussion about it on the JL forums and someone mentioned it was the same. I thought the anniversary edition was Tank Green, so it's looking like that conversation was mistaken. Are you sure? Because on the JK there was a Tank color and a Sarge Green color and they were 2 different colors.
And the Sarge Green color was only on the 75th anniversary. Jeep has a habit of releasing a color for a Special Edition and then making it not special by opening it up to other trims. They did the same thing with Anvil and with a Purple color a few years ago.

I know this, my wife will be buying either color for her JLU Rubicon. She might not let me wait for her lease to expire.
I had a 15 or 16 model Willys in Tank. Cool color, and yes, a darker green.Tank:

They are similar. Personally prefer Tank. It's a little darker. But Sarge pops a little more.
It's one of my all-time favorites.I had a 15 or 16 model Willys in Tank. Cool color, and yes, a darker green.
