You will just have mismatch between the PCM and cluster.

Will not be readily evident unless someone has a reason to scan your PCM and takes note of it. There is risk for future warranty denile and possible branded title if found on any state vehicle inspection.
Mine was mismatched from first time I dug into things - didn't match, off by a fair amount.
And both of mine have never been touched as far as cluster repair or replacement or removal.

Thank you all for the insight. I'll stop driving the vehicle until I get the cluster back.

Sadly, I realized, after the fact, I should have marked it to know if it was, in fact, mine coming back or not. Especially with the turnaround time to get a new one, a reman would make sense, rather than them fixing mine.

But as you say it matters not, I have a functional cluster at such a reduced cost than those marked-up dealer prices plus their install fees.

I hope they continue to offer the service to individuals.
Did UnitedRadio stay in contact with you during the process? I sent mine in, and it was delivered last Tuesday. I haven't heard anything from them...yet

Well guys, in case anyone is interested……
MY GAUGE CLUSTER WORKS NOW!! Woohoo!

United Radio is amazing! I sent my cluster to them Thursday afternoon, they got it Friday afternoon. They called me Monday morning and said it was good to go! They shipped it yesterday and I got it the next day! Plugged it in and it’s working like new! Cost $210 plus tax with free shipping (they provided me a prepaid label). They told me the screen had to be replaced. I bet saved AT LEAST around $1000 compared to going to the dealership.
Quite the excitement

Mine was fine yesterday driving around. I started off to work today and looked down, middle screen is black like it is off. I checked all the fuses and they are fine. Does it break like this? Just checking before I pull the trigger on replacement or repair.

Same issue here. It came back for a couple days then just stayed completely blank. I'd start the process of getting it sent out.

I called them today but they said they need the part number. I'm taking it out this evening and will just drive my 2 door unit it's fixed. Damn China

It's easy easy to replace. I'm gonna send it off tomorrow. Took 20 minutes to get out and I spent five or six of that looking for a short Philips.

I got the cluster back. It works. There was a screw rattling around and it was on of the printed circuit board screws. I put that in but there was also two screws missing from the back cover. here is a pic of it before I sent it. The two missing screws are highlighted yellow.

Did you let them know? I would assume they would want that feedback.

I called. The techs were gone for the night. I’m gonna call in the morning and ask. I may just go to ace hardware and see if I can find the screws. She didn’t seem worried that shit was rattling around. She said I can send it back and they would fix it. Also I forgot to mention the rpm needle was at 1k rpm’s. Anyway I took it apart and fixed the needle and the rattle. I’ll just get screws tomorrow. They are machined, so I don’t want to leave them out.

That sucks to hear of the shitty quality control. I have never dealt with United Radio personally, but everybody on the YouTubes sings their praises.

Attached is the IPC self test procedure. It will do a needle sweep check in addition to other indicators.

I'm not bashing them really. I did hear good things. It could be a one off. Someone was in a hurry for sure.
