Ordered my JTRD in GG with LED, 8.4, tow, aux, and cold weather on Monday soooooo I guess Im at the tail end. 1 question I have is, if mine doesnt get built until after they start doing the 22s does that mean mine will be a 22 or will it still be a 21? I guess I wouldnt mind having a 22 in GG maybe Ill have the wireless unconnect lol.

If you have received a 2021 VIN, you should be getting a 21. From my understanding once you have received your VIN nothing can be changed, except through factory decisions.

You should have gotten your VON as soon as the order went through. Usually you get your VIN the next (business?)Day. I'd ask your dealer for them.

I ordered from Daniel as well, but I did ask him for any information he received about it in advance. I'd just send him an email and ask for it, he should have it by now.

He sent mine over the next day I believe. It may have slipped his mind. He's been very quick to respond to emails.

You're in CA but ordered from TN? Planning on a big road trip?

Jes. Best we can get out here is 4% below invoice. $160 ticket to Nashville and a couple day drive is well worth an additional $2440 savings. I would say probably dozens have done it.
And you can do the Kentucky Bourbon Trail before you head back West. Life is good, live it to the fullest.

I was willing to go 1-2k over Gupton from one of my local dealers just to not deal with it. I figured that's what I would be willing to pay to avoid #1 flying, I Fn hate the hassle of flying, as well as burning a day and a 9 hr drive. The local dealers of course only offered 1% below invoice because of the Tread Lightly membership.

I suppose it's all relative but we aren't talking cheap vehicles here.

I ran the numbers between Grupton and Spencer in Iowa. They came out very close considering the additional doc fees Grupton charges over Spencer.

In the end my local dealer matched the 5% under that Spencer quoted and his $100 doc fee. So I would only have saved about $250 going to Grupton which was not worth the flight/drive.

Make sure you are comparing all of the fees when shopping around.

Thats the plan. I did r66 in April in my 49 chevy 5 window. From SF to LA to Chicago and then back on 80. There I met this guy in a gladiator in WY and we started talking back and forth, I was gonna do his dealer but he couldnt match. Then when I did UT Moab Zion and Grand Canyon last month I saw a bunch of wranglers and was gonna do that, but then I just sold my superduty and crashed my x5 sooooooooo I figure the gladiator will be the go between as a light ranch vehicle and suv semi daily for now.... and if I dont like it Im pretty sure I can sell it to a dealer right now for profit or at the very least break even.

I ordered a JTR on 8/16 currently in D1 status with an estimated ship date of 9/21. Not sure that I believe this ship date though.
