If you're OK with a soft folder, I'm very pleased with the Mopar tri-fold after over a year. I did put 1" foam insulation at the top of the front bed to trap the hollow rubber gasket better about two months ago.

@AllMoparParts.com had a great price on it and gave me a free shipping code. Factory parts get scrutiny and testing that I've decided is worth it for some things. I bought the factory bed rail system from Benny at @AllMoparParts.com as well, and various other suspension bits and bobs.

I had a bakflip in my ram. Great cover, was hoping not to have to spend a grand on this one though. Maybe it is worth it. Not much snow here though

%100 agree. For the first time in my vehicle ownership life ive stuck to largely oem parts and been very happy.
Though I will add that the mopar soft rolling cover is the best of the three imo.

To repeat what others have said.

Drive it stock on and off road. Use it as you normally would for the first few months.

Join a local Jeep club if you can, go off road with them or friends.

The mods you NEED will reveal themselves with time and miles.

Then get stuff like Rubicon takeoffs from the other club members, this forum, FB marketplace, etc.

Have fun!

That being said BeStop Sunrider was my first mod. Use it almost all the time I drive it.

2nd mod: A way to air up after airing down to go off road.

3rd mod: 18mm wrenches to disconnect the front sway bars before going off road and to put then back on before you hit the highway.

Got to do a lot of driving in the mountains this weekend with the Gladiator. The transmission was incredible. Also got to very briefly test out the 4x4 on a hill that I would have deemed impassable in my old truck. Was expecting at least some tire spin or something but the gladiator crawled up just fine stock tires and all. Probably 20 degree grade or so extremely rutted/washed out trail. Wish I had taken a photo.

Here's a video of my Max Tow on stock tires up a 20° hill.

Order mine and had to wait 3 months for it. So i had a lot of time to research. Had my lift, wheels and tires all ready before the jtr arrived. No regrets and loving it everyday, 6 months in. Just another point of view.
