I lived in Forest Hill for many years, then back to Baltimore. My Brother and sister in laws all went to C. Milton Wright. Small damn world in Baltimore/Har Co. My dad still lives in Bel Air.

Got my first Jeep Duck today!! Some nice Jeep Girl left it with a note in the Chesapeake Home Depot this morning. Made my day! Love Jeeps and Jeepers!

I see that all the time on Facebook about Jeeps being $60k and too expensive. Guess they don’t realize you don’t have to tick EVERY option box ??‍
Kinda kicking myself sometimes for not ordering a base Rubicon for not much more than my Sport S. Just about got hosed on resale on my trade-in, but still got what I wanted. Maybe next time.

The problem with not ordering the options you want at the time of sale is that Jeep makes it difficult to add any of those options later. Mine didn't come with a 115v plug in the bed and the dealers didn't know the part numbers or how to do this, some just never returned my call. If your able to get the parts and install it yourself they can't or won't computer activate it once it's installed. I was told by the salesman that it could be added later but he was incorrect it's tied to your VIN. Luckily on the forums someone had figured this out and provided the parts list etc. I was able to do it myself and activate it with a Tazer JL mini. It wasn't easy but not too bad, it was a nice weekend project.

I think I can win the contest of who can go the longest without getting ducked. It must be my unwillingness to spend money. I don't go out to eat, I don't do much shopping at all and when I do I get to the store very early in the morning before most folks get out of bed. All I but is spinach and jeep parts.

It took 5 months - but it finally happened. I don't go out much either, so I was pleasantly surprised! It is a cool thing, the waving and the ducks. It reminds me of when I was a kid riding shotgun with my Dad in his Austin Healey 3000 with the top down. All the other British sports car guys would always wave. It was a club of sorts - those who suffered Lucas wiring and typical British build "quality" of the 1960s.

Bottom line is - Jeeps are just fun. It really is a Jeep thing!!!
