It works really well, I have see the rock crawler guys do this as well. Just winch out to a tree with a tree saver strap and snatch block and back to the rear piller of the cage to pick up the tire. Unfortunately my rear radius rod stripped so I had to redo it while my friends went to get a trailer close.
