I this vid all of his attachment points are above crest. In mine he was too far down which had the lines drag along the ground and then change angle to continue. Effectively turning the truck into a deadman anchor. Like if you take tape and slap it on the face of a table and pull it. Eventually it’ll tear or give up. But then extend the tape to wrap around a corner so it’s gripping another plane. Now it has to tear.

Yes. That rig you were pulling was "too far down" for those methods to have worked.
You'd be pulling it into the ground, like a rocket nose-diving and digging a trench along the way.
There was no way to pull up AND over.

You can use the spare tire trick. Remove the spare and run the winch line over it, the spare acts as a rolling pulley and redirects the line and pull force. It's also handy in mud to break the suction and in sand to lift the vehicle out of a hole rather than try to pull it laterally through the ground.

I've seen it done for stump extraction as well. Yes, good points.

I got my Duramax stuck. I thought it was just mud. I call my wife and asked her to bring the Gladiator. I had just finished installing the 12k winch. We connected the snatch rope at first. I gave up on that with the first pull. Hardly even saw a ripple in my coffee cup. Then I tethered off the Gladiator to a tree and connected the 12k winch to the front. Nothing budged. I then put a snatch block off to the side to pull the front sideways. I probably could have pulled the tire off of the rim, so I stopped messing around and got the tractor out. Lifting the front of the Duramax off of the ground even the tractor wouldn't drag it out. I had my wife get in the Duramax in low gear and throttle it out with me lifting the front. It leaped out and almost hit the tractor. I needed someone else to operate the Duramax but the wife was all I had at the time. It was getting dark.

That's what you get for making her climb into that mucky mess LOL
My wife would say "I will run the tractor, you go get in the truck"

I asked them why they didn't start with that. And I got an expression of confusion. 2 winches, 4 straps, and countless snatch blocks. All rendered useless by 4 fellows with a payment plans at their local 4WP store.

Bogs and Mud can achieve an insane amount of suction force if you get sunk in it.

Stumps! One at the front and one at the trans skid plate. I couldn't see either until I pulled it out.

A dozen Broverlanders with $100,000+ into their trucks cannot match the ingenuity of one redneck or a farmer/rancher who has to get shit done.

Necessity will generate more ingenuity than money could ever buy.

"I keep throwing cash and my credit cards at the problem, but my truck is still stuck! What do I do?! Now all my money is dirty and soggy." 😆
