Good day we are going to be purchasing a 2024 Gladiator. For those Of you that tow your Gladiator behind a motorhome what braking system are you using ? An I plan on removing the stock bumper an installing a after market bumper that is built for towing , any suggestions on bumpers ? I will be installing a Winch when I do the bumper . I do have a blue ox AVANTI tow bar good for 10,000 #s .
Thanks Rick

What motorhome, what Glad, setup?

I use the NSA ReadyBrake which attaches to the towbor. If I were to start over, I'd use the NSA Ready Brute Elite setup which has the towbar safety cables and braking system in one kit. I use the stock bumper and installed the RoadMaster baseplate. Very simple (for those with the tools and skills) to install the entire package on a Jeep, very easy to hookup for towing, easy to unhook.

Mines a '21 with std (bulb) tail lights so interfacing with them was fairly easy. I know nothing about LED connections.

Hi! We tow our 2022 Gladiator named Russell behind our Class A diesel pusher. We use a Roadmaster tow bar with an Air Force 1 system. We have air brakes and the Air Force 1 is an easy hook up for the lights and brakes.

We considered changing out Russell's front bumper, but ultimately decided not too. We've been very happy with this system and had no problems. I hope this helps.

We use the NSA Ready Brute Elite tow bar/brake system, connected to a Rugged Ridge Spartan bumper with Blue Ox adapters. Wiring is with a home made version of the CoolTech LLC harness.

roadmaster tow bar (better than the Blue Ox IMHO) and I use an aftermarket bumper and swap to the brackets that use the D-ring bumper points. I also drill out the brackets and use 1” pins to eliminate play. I’ve been towing a jeep for a long time and never used a brake system…brake systems are not necessary IMHO. Thor weighs almost 20,000 pounds and a 5500 Jeep isn’t going to present any issues, even in a panic stop.

I’ve been back and forth across the country 10 + times, and countless winter trips in the southwest. No plans on a brake system in my toad, but I always add a plug on the front bumper to use the stock running and brake lights.
