I have an indoor and outdoor BT speaker. We use them a lot. The indoor we use hotel traveling and the outdoors, well- outdoors.

I guess what I was thinking it could stream from the Uconnect. I could see a use case.

But charging $400 for what you could get at Best Buy for $100 is probably the very worst Jeep logo on something stupid tax yet.

I love my AirPods but am considering some other brands for the next set I get.

Actually I use that BT speaker A LOT and it’s a tough system, waterproof and such. It’s good audio quality and the fact that it sits neatly in a cradle behind the back seat always changed and ready to use is a huge plus. Didn’t know it was a $400 option, came with my X Alpine system so I’m good.

It's a nice speaker, but of course it costs. Probably more weather resistant than average.

It'd be better if there were a handle on it, and an easy way to replace the batteries once they wear out.

The factory installed BT speaker does connect to the audio system, when it is connected in its cradle.
That’s so unusual.….. what would be the purpose of using it when its in the cradle?
I mean, it’s behind the seat?šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø In order to really hear it, you’d have to put the seat down. šŸ™„

How do you connect it to the audio system? Is it in the speaker settings?

I did notice, the speaker actually has inputs & outputs

I'm just repeating what I read many years ago. It is automatic, there are no settings to adjust. When in the cradle, it is supposed to act as just another system speaker. Outside of the cradle, it is just a BT speaker.
