It may not be my cup of tea, and say what you want about it but I respect the work and skill it took to fabricate that thing. I wish I had the talent to do that…

Edited to add that I really do like that color. Wish I knew what it was.

I was joking..........Just regurgitating what all the weight police on the internet say!

I'm the king of modifying vehicles, adding/subtracting axles, and making my own GVWR labels after such mods.

Your tow was perfectly legal here in CA regardless of what your sticker says. Only law I can find on our books about towing any specific weight even though the weight Nazis say otherwise.

21715.
(a) No passenger vehicle regardless of weight, or any other motor vehicle under 4,000 pounds unladen, shall draw or tow more than one vehicle in combination, except that an auxiliary dolly or tow dolly may be used with the towed vehicle.
(b) No motor vehicle under 4,000 pounds unladen shall tow any vehicle weighing 6,000 pounds or more gross.
(Amended by Stats. 1983, Ch. 708, Sec. 8.)
That's funny. I completely missed your sarcasm. Ha.

I don't know what the laws are in my state. I don't care. If I'm going to overload a tow vehicle its going to be for around town use only.

Most vehicles at max rated tow load are generally unpleasant for longer trips anyway.
